driving with dogs (dwdlogosmall.jpg)

If you travel on the motorway with your dog in the car, then www.drivingwithdogs.co.uk  may be useful. Within 4 miles of motorway exits you'll find a walk, dog friendly place for refreshments, map, off-road parking, directions and description of the walk. All the walks have been tested by both humans and dog! New walks are being added all the time.

They've also just released a brilliantly handy  book "MOTORWAY WALKS" which is available to buy from their website. It's a handy size to keep in the glove compartment or carry with you on your walk and a good price. Well worth it!

Stop the car - go walkies! www.drivingwithdogs.co.uk

Normand Park Dog Show

Hammersmith and Fullham council suppoprted Green Dog Walkers Scheme at their first Normand Park Dog Show 28th March 2009. It was great to be part of the Dog show which was a huge success with dog show winner receiving lots of prizes including Poopods of course! Celebrity judges were Dog Borstals Rob Alleyne and TV Vet Marc Abraham, creator of the social 'petworking'website thepet.net. We were lucky enough to have Marc Abraham visit our Poopod stand and as you can see he thought the poopod was a great idea!

Family hoping to clean up after dog invention

By Lauren Pyrah

A FAMILY have come up with an innovative solution to one of the least pleasurable aspects of owning a dog -cleaning up its mess.

The Poopod, an all-in-one kit to save dog owners from spoiling a good walk by having to carry a bag of dog dirt, has been designed and patented by the Bell family, from Darlington.

The invention is a team effort by father Neil 47, mother Sue, 43, and children Nicole, 15, and Joe, 11, and was inspired by Nicole, who hated holding the used bags after walking the family's Yorkshire terrier, Rosie.

The gadget has won the backing of the British Inventors Society, which awarded the Bell family double golds for innovation and invention.
